Dr. Bachireddy founded The Heart Institute of East Texas (HIET) in 1982 and has been committed to transforming Cardiovascular Care in Deep East Texas. HIET is affiliated with Baylor St. Luke's Medical Group. Dr. Bachireddy and his colleagues were instrumental in bringing state-of-the-art technologies and CV Surgery programs to St. Luke's Health-Memorial Lufkin and Woodland Heights Medical Center, making Lufkin a regional Cardiovascular center. In 2019, the practice was awarded the TMF Physician Practice Quality Improvement Gold Award. The Heart Institute of East Texas is recognized by American College of Cardiology for Heart Failure accreditation with outpatient services (1 of the first 2 in Texas). As ACC CV Champion, Dr. Bachireddy led the team at St. Luke's Health-Memorial to earn the American College of Cardiology's highest designation, the HeartCARE Center National Distinction of Excellence (2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023), PIONEER award and accreditations in Heart Failure, Cardiac Cath Lab with PCI & Electrophysiology, Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI and Resuscitation. St. Luke's Health-Memorial Lufkin is recognized by Healthgrades as one of America's 100 Best Hospitals for Coronary Interventions for 2022 & 2023 (1 of 12 in Texas).
