Dr. Prakash K. Desai’s practice at the Amarillo Heart Group includes electrophysiology studies, radio frequency ablation of arrhythmias, pharmacological management of cardiac arrhythmia, temporary/ permanent pacemaker and defibrillator implantation, and syncope evaluation. Dr. Desai has served as chief of cardiology for BSA Healthcare System and medical director of the Pacemaker/ICD Clinic at Amarillo Heart Group. He pioneered electrophysiology services in Amarillo in 1994, and has been investigator for numerous clinical research trials for pacemaker and ICD devices. Dr. Desai is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease.
