Johnny Franco, MD, is a board-certified plastic surgeon and the founder of Austin Plastic Surgeon, a plastic surgery and medical spa practice with three offices across Austin, West Lake Hills, and San Antonio. He performs a broad range of surgical and non-surgical procedures, with particular focus on breast enhancement, including preservation techniques, along with body contouring, liposuction, fat transfer, tummy tuck, and facial procedures.
Dr. Franco earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and completed his plastic surgery residency at Saint Louis University School of Medicine, where he served as chief resident. He trained in microsurgery at Chang Gung Hospital in Taiwan and completed a fellowship in breast reconstruction and fat transfer at Gent University Hospital in Belgium.
He currently serves as President of the Austin Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons and is Clinical Faculty at UT Dell Medical School. He hosts and instructs courses at the annual meetings of ASAPS, ASPS, and TSPS, reviews submissions for Annals of Plastic Surgery, and is a national trainer for several aesthetic device companies. He is bilingual in English and Spanish.
