Profile

Dr. Reymundo Lozano is an adult and pediatric clinical-geneticist at Mount Sinai with research training in neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative disorders. He is Director of the Fragile X Tremor- Ataxia syndrome (FXTAS), FX syndrome (FXS), and Autism Clinics. Dr. Lozano is committed to finding new pharmacological treatments for FXS as a collaborator on clinical trials. He aims to create new models for delivering high quality, efficient, and cost-effective care for people with learning disabilities and neurodegenerative disorders. Dr. Lozano’s long-term goal is to determine the main molecular pathological mechanism in FXTAS to identify druggable targets using high throughput nextgeneration sequencing technologies and bioinformatics.
