Profile
I am a Columbia trained, Board Certified Psychiatrist with a subspecialty board certification in Psychosomatic Medicine. I feel that the combination of psychotherapy and psychiatric medication work the best in helping patients struggling with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and other mental illnesses. I am a psychotherapist and a psychopharmacologist having had extensive training in both after completing my general psychiatry residency training. I enjoy helping others and playing an active role in their life and treatment. I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to do the work that I do. I have been in private practice for over 15 years. I completed my training at Long Island Jewish Hospital where I was a two-time Chief Resident and my Fellowship at NYPH-Columbia. I am an Attending Psychiatrist on staff at Lenox Hill Hospital, NYPH-Columbia, White Plains Hospital and North Shore-LIJ Hospital. I work per-diem on the Consultation-Liaison Service and the ER at both Lenox Hill Hospital and White Plains Hospital. I am a Fellow of the Academy of Consultation Liaison Psychiatry (FACLP) and a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association (DFAPA). I have spoken at a number of national conferences, given many lectures to Nursing and Medical Staff at hospitals, been featured on television and other social media and published in prominent peer-reviewed journals and textbooks.
