Dr. Nihal E. Abdulla, a board-certified oncologist, malignant hematologist with over 20 years of experience in treating cancer and blood disorders. His work spans both clinical practice and research, with a strong commitment to advancing medical knowledge and improving patient outcomes.

Currently, he serves as the Director of Clinical Research at the Cancer and Blood Specialty Clinic at Los Alamitos Medical Center, and hold various leadership positions, including Chair of the Cancer Committee and a member of multiple hospital boards and tumor boards in the Los Angeles area.

His professional journey has taken him through a series of prestigious roles, from my time as Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine and Division of Hematology & Oncology at the University of Texas Medical Branch to current focus on clinical trials and cutting-edge cancer research. He has had the privilege of collaborating with world-renowned institutions, including MD Anderson Cancer Center and UCLA's TRIOS Network, and have been recognized multiple times for my dedication to patient care and education, including honors like the Texas Super Doctors Rising Stars and Patients’ Choice awards.

With a deep passion for research, he has contributed to numerous clinical trials, particularly in areas such as lung cancer, breast cancer, and malignant hematology. His research has been featured in peer-reviewed journals and international medical conferences, and continues to be an active voice in advancing oncological treatments and therapies.

As an educator, Dr. Abdulla has been honored to mentor future leaders in hematology and oncology. He has lectured at various esteemed medical institutions and organized scientific sessions, providing training on topics such as gastrointestinal malignancies, hematologic cancers, and breast cancer.
