Dr. Luke Macyszyn is a highly regarded neurosurgeon who is fellowship trained in complex and pediatric spine surgery. He is an assistant professor of neurosurgery and orthopaedics at UCLA and specializes in the surgical treatment of scoliosis, spinal deformities and spinal tumors in children as well as adults. He is the director of the Complex Spinal Disorders and Deformity Research Program and has authored/coauthored several publications which have appeared in the journal of Neurosurgery, Radiology, and Journal of Neuro-Oncology. Dr. Macyszyn is a dedicated educator and the author of several book chapters on neurological surgery. He travels internationally to lecture and has been featured on The Today Show. Currently, Dr. Macyszyn divides his time between surgery and the study of imaging markers to predict patient outcome after surgery. He is a passionate clinician-scientist, dedicated to improving the life and care of patients with spinal disorders..
