Dr. Edward K. Nomoto is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon, specializing in spine surgery. He holds a special interest is minimally invasive techniques, adult and pediatric spinal deformity and degenerative scoliosis. His academic interests lie in minimally invasive surgical techniques and their application in degenerative disorders and spinal deformities. Dr. Nomoto believes in a patient-centered approach with patient education and understanding as key components to the medical decisionmaking process. He is a member of many national spine organizations and is actively involved in clinical research and the training of residents, fellows and fellow surgeons both domestically and internationally. Dr. Nomoto earned his doctorate of medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine and completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. He completed his spine fellowship at the San Diego Center for Spinal Disorders.
