Ned Snyder III, M.D., a 2019 Super Doctors® Honoree, is Chief of Gastroenterology at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic. He joined the clinic in September 2009 and is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. Dr. Snyder cares for his patients at Kelsey-Seybold’s Berthelsen Main Campus and Pearland locations. After earning his Bachelor of Arts from Yale University in 1966, Dr. Snyder attended The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston (UTMB) and earned his degree in medicine. He attended The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor to complete his internship and returned to UTMB for his residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Gastroenterology. Dr. Snyder returned to Yale in 1974 as a post-doctoral fellow in Internal Medicine at the university’s medical school and served in a Hepatology fellowship. He is also a Master in the American College of Physicians and a fellow ofthe American Gastroenterological Association. “I believe in being an advocate for my patients and, in the process, bringing them the latest knowledge and technology that will help them manage their gastrointestinal problems,” Dr. Snyder says. In 2012 Dr. Snyder received the highest honor from the American College of Physicians when he was named a Master. In 2006, he received the Laureate Award, the highest honor from the Texas Chapter of the American College of Physicians. Dr. Snyder is the on the editorial board of 5 medical journals in the field of Gastroenterology and liver disease. In 2017 he received the Ashbel Smith Distinguished Alumni award from the University of Texas Medical Branch.
