Current President’s Advisory Committee Member, former Research Chair, Board Member, Postpartum Support International (PSI), the world's leading organization supporting women and their families struggling with perinatal mental illness. Initial term began in 2014 and continues currently as part of a second term.
PSI is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote awareness, prevention and treatment of mental health issues related to childbearing in every country worldwide.
It is the vision of PSI that every woman and family worldwide will have access to information, social support, and informed professional care to deal with mental health issues related to childbearing. PSI promotes this vision through advocacy and collaboration, and by educating and training the professional community and the public.
I am on the Verywell Medical Review Board and a member of the Independent Doctors of New York, Robyn network, and Women’s Mental Health Consortium.
I am on the board for the non-profit ‘Help Us Adopt' and the benefit committee for the non profit Ballet Academy East.
I strongly support and advocate on behalf of COHI (Circle of Health International), and raise funds on their behalf.
During the COVID19 pandemic, I established and organized the NYC Family Fund with another woman in partnership with Global Empowerment Mission (GEM) and bStrong. Our initiative raises money for cash cards for underprivileged families in NYC with children in the public school system profoundly impacted by COVID19. We also partnered with several food distributors to provide food to these families.
Daily Harvest and I partnered during the COVID19 pandemic to support frontline physicians - I helped facilitate their donation of nearly 100 meals to MDs/DOs working hard for the sickest amongst us.
I ran the NYC marathon 2015, 2016 and 2017 on behalf of Team For Kids, and I ran the 2017 Chicago Marathon on behalf of Lurie Children's Hospital. I also ran the 2018 and 2019 Chicago Marathons in support of the Ronald McDonald House Charity, and the Marine Corps and Philadelphia Marathons also in 2018. I was scheduled to run the Chicago marathon in 2020 for Ronald McDonald House and the NYC marathon for Help Us Adopt, however, both were canceled due to COVID. I have still raised funds for both charities this year and plan to run these races in 2023.
