Dr. George A. Diaz, M.D., Ph.D., is Chief of the Division of Medical Genetics and Genomics in the Department of Genetics and Genomic Sciences at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He is the Director of the Program for Inherited Metabolic Diseases, one of the largest metabolic disease treatment programs in the country and has been a recognized leader at Mount Sinai in the identification of the genetic basis of inherited disorders and in clinical trial research aimed at the development of novel therapies for genetic diseases. Dr. Diaz is extensively engaged in medical and graduate school education.
