Dr. Evelina Grayver is an attending cardiologist and director of the Coronary Care Unit, a specialized cardiac unit that treats patients with acute heart conditions. The Katz Institute for Women fostered her interest in women’s health. This program focuses on the elimination of health care disparities through comprehensive clinical progress, gender-based research, community engagement and health literacy initiatives. Her specific interests are in preventative cardiac care for women, cardiac care for high-risk pregnancy patients, preeclampsia-associated heart issues and care of women with postpartum cardiomyopathy. Dr. Grayver received her doctorate of medicine from Downstate Medical Center. She completed training at North Shore University Hospital.
