Dr. Krishnamurthi [Krish] Sundaram has been caring for head and neck cancer patients in Brooklyn since 1983. He graduated from Madras Medical College, Madras, India in 1973. He trained for two years in surgical oncology in India. This was followed by a surgical internship at Church Hospital Corporation, Baltimore, MD, and three years of surgical residency at the Methodist Hospital, Brooklyn, NY. His Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery residency was at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY followed by a year of additional training with emphasis in Head & Neck Surgery at SUNY Downstate. He is on staff at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY; NY Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital and Northwell Lenox Hill Hospital, NY, NY. Dr. Sundaram's practice is limited to the care of head and neck cancer patients, surgery of thyroid and parathyroid glands and sinus and throat tumors. The practice objective is to deliver quality care to the head and neck cancer patient in a compassionate manner.
Dr. Sundaram is involved with teaching future Ear, Nose and Throat specialists as well as conducting clinical and translational research.
He is a Clinical Professor at Downstate in the department of Otolaryngology. He has published in peer reviewed journals and presented at national and international meetings.
