Updated State Medicaid Fact Fact Sheets by CHA and AAP

Gina Drioane

As the health care debate continues, the unique needs of children must not be forgotten. A new resource provides child-focused Medicaid funding and coverage details for each state. Jointly created by the Children’s Hospital Association (CHA) and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), State Medicaid Fact Sheets offer key data to demonstrate the importance of the Medicaid program to children, pediatricians and children’s hospitals. A national-level fact sheet is available in addition to fact sheets for all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

Medicaid covers over 30 million children who rely on its benefits to grow and thrive. While the program’s details vary by state, it provides critical coverage to children across the country.
